I did it!

Soooo, I've been super determined to teach myself how to knit. I went out and bought one of those lame ass knitting books (even after my roomate advised me not to) and completely failed at it. Do those books actually work for anyone?! Sheesh! Fortunately, the information highway is full of knitting videos and I finally got the hang of getting the yarn on the stick (forgive my lack of knitting terminology) but still was clueless about the actual act of knitting. Yesterday my cubicle neighbor was nice enough to show me how :) And this morning my grandma would be so proud...I totally geeked out on the bart...Look what I made!

Dogtail Hour!

This morning I found out that there is this thing on tuesdays called "K-9's & Cocktails" (which basically is a happy hour you can take your dog too) at a bar called Mandala Lounge in San Mateo. They have an outdoor patio that dogs & folks can hang out at from 4-8...How cool is that? I love it, pepper's going to be so so excited! Check it out- http://mandalalounge.com/main.htm

2 newbies!

Today I added 2 new bags to my collection. The "I heart music" and the "saving up for a rainy day" clutches. I also tried to teach myself how to knit...Unfortunately, not quite as successful as the clutches were.

Aww, so sad to see it go...

So the good news is that "Viva Las Vegas" was sold. The bad news is that it sold. Hopefully it's new owner will love it as much as I did. And realistically I'll probably make a kick ass new bag with one of the many vintage clutches I've purchased in the past few weeks. Luckily, I've been keeping a journal for my ideas and sketches of patches I want to make, so I have quite a few ideas to choose from. I guess you'll just have to stay tuned to find out whats next! I'll be doing more work this weekend, check back soon!
